Paintings

For me, painting begins in reverence and deep noticing — a way of slowing down enough to encounter the emotional texture of moments that feel emotionally charged, fleeting, and deeply alive. Each piece balances energy with stillness, inviting a slower kind of attention and a deeper connection to the present moment.

Rooted in both painting and interior design, my work is deeply shaped by an interest in the poetry available in atmosphere, hospitality, and an anchoring sense of place.

My newer work is inspired largely by the Lowcountry landscape, where elemental forces merge. These paintings are less about literal depiction and more about emotional resonance — the feeling a place offers us.

Rather than approaching art primarily as an online commodity, I’m interested in creating opportunities for people to encounter paintings within lived spaces: cafés, gathering places, homes, and environments designed for connection and daily life. Original works can be experienced throughout Summit Coffee locations and are available by inquiry. I also accept a limited number of commissions each year that align naturally with my existing body of work.
